From the North (A1): Follow the A1 Southbound and exit onto the B6267 towards Thirsk. At the T junction turn left onto the A61. Follow the A61 through Thirsk and at the roundabout take the first exit onto the A170 (Sutton Road). Follow the A170 for 25 miles to Middleton, turn left opposite the Phone Box into High Back Side. The Hawthornes is on the left hand side.

From the South (A1M): Follow the A1(M) Northbound and exit at junction 49 onto the A168 towards Thirsk. After 7 miles keep left onto the exit ramp and at the roundabout take the second exit onto the A170 towards Thirsk. At the roundabout take the second exit onto the A170. Follow the A170 for 25 miles to Middleton, turn left opposite the Phone Box into High Back Side. The Hawthornes is on the left hand side.

From the A169: Follow the A169 towards Pickering. At the roundabout join the A170 towards Kirkbymoorside. After 1 ½ miles turn right opposite the Phone Box into High Back Side. The Hawthornes is on the left hand side.
